A Note to the Reader

This page is hosted on www.PocketConcepts.com and is a copy of a cached page from Google.com.  Google is an excellent search engine which makes cached copies of the pages it indexes available to it's users just in case the original page is not available.  It just so happens that original page that Google cached in this case has been lost due to a catastrophic failure at PocketPCThoughts that occurred during the first week of February 2002.  PocketPCThoughts has rebuilt portions of their site, but it is unlcear whether they will ever be able to restore the original page.  I am making this page available because I didn't want it to be completely lost once it is removed from Google's cache.  The content of this page has not been changed beyond this note.

Thank you for your support,

P.S. Don't try to use the form at the bottom of the page.  It will not work.

SOFTWARE: Mute that Pocket PC, restore volume - MeetingMute integrates with Calendar. When you've got an active appointment MeetingMute mutes your Pocket PC. (Thanks to Joshua Bancroft for this link.)

"With MeetingMute, you wont miss a future reminder because you forgot to restore the volume after a meeting-- it restores the volume for you. A link to Pocket Outlook is provided for completely unattended muting so you don't even have to remember to mute before the meeting. A must have utility for any corporate user, but equally useful to anyone who has ever been in a quiet setting and been embarrassed by their noisy Pocket PC."

Two thoughts:
1. I can surely see that this is a nice feature! Well done!
2. The Pocket PC camp is getting big enough to generate many, many small/narrow apps. Not only the other camp...!

Thanks... it took me a bit to realize that you couldn't pre-mute for the next meeting, so I didn't think it was working.

talon95,

Select 0 categories to include all appointments.

Even more important to me is the Sound Protection... I missed more notifications because of the mysterious unchecking of all of the sound settings. Seems like a very nice piece of software.

My only wish so far is that you could have it integrate with Pocket Outlook without having to use categories. Many of my appointments are the result of invitations through Lotus Notes, and they don't have categories.

As another beta tester of Meeting Mute, this is a great program, even Jim's beta's were almost completly bug free and he has incorporated many user suggestions. It has grown a lot from the initial beta release. Before this program, I was constantly missing notifications and alarms because I had forgotten to un-mute my iPAQ. Great program and well done Jim.

Wow, what a great idea! This is EXACTLY what I needed, and didn't even know it :)

Thanks for posting this, Andy. I am not affiliated with PocketConcepts or Jim Verrelli in any way, other than as a beta tester and satisfied customer. But I think this is a great program, and it has become indispensable on my Jornada.
